500 followers! + a comparison

Posted by Unknown on Saturday, May 14, 2011

Hey guys, second post today because I just wanted to say some things before I forget! And I figured I would also show you a comparison I've been meaning to post.

1) I have one follower to go until I hit 500! I made it just minutes after this post! I've changed the title to reflect that. Haha. Thank you sososo much!

2) As a 500-follower-gift-to-myself, I just bought OPI DS Original on ebay. For $23. I guess this is not THAT bad because it is basically the price of 2 regular OPI's. And DS polishes sell for $14.99+tax anyway so it isn't marked up that much. I just hope it is legit. The feedback was good, so let's hope it's all good!

3) I'm having a 500 follower giveaway. It will be a bit smaller than the last, but so far I have some really cool things. I think I need to get one more polish for it - I just need to figure out what that polish will be. So it isn't going to be immediate, but it will be soon.

4) My 4-month blogaversary is on Monday :) This blog has grown so fast! 500 in just under 4 months! I guess my little addiction is something a lot of people like to look at! Haha. I never expected my little blog to grow this quickly. Thanks everyone, I love you all!

Okay, now for a comparison of China Glaze - Spontaneous and Nicole by OPI - I'm A Belieber.

I wanted to buy Belieber for a while but didn't because I was thinking these would be too close. But then my mom bought it for me for Easter.
And it turns out that they are very close. Not dupes but very close!

When I took these pictures I had just cracked off part of my index nail, so please excuse the fact that my nails are totally different shapes.

As you can see, they are basically the same color, but Belieber is a bit more vibrant. But just a little.
The next photo is not color accurate but shows the difference in the colors.

So, not exact, but pretty damn close.
I was going to exchange the Nicole after this one-finger swatch, but then I remembered that I will probably eventually need a second bottle of Spontaneous, so I'll just keep this one instead of doing that.

I hope this comparison helps someone!

P.S.
Tomorrow I am going to try to make a franken!! Stay tuned...
